Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 May 2026
1. Who we are
Kontiki Capital Pte Ltd (“Kontiki Capital”, “we”, “us”) is a boutique investment bank and licensed Investment Adviser regulated by the Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF), and parent of Kontiki Stockbroking Ltd, a member of the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX). This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and our digital onboarding process.
2. Information we collect
We collect personal information that you provide directly, including:
- Enquiry details — name, email address, phone number, organisation, and the content of messages submitted through our contact forms.
- Account opening details — your name, email address, and phone number submitted when you begin opening an account with us.
- Identity and verification information — collected during Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) onboarding, which is completed on the Kontiki Stockbroking client platform. This may include identification documents, proof of address, source-of-funds information, tax residency, and related declarations.
- Technical information — IP address, browser type, and basic usage analytics collected automatically when you visit the site.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and provide the services you request;
- open, administer, and service client accounts;
- meet our regulatory obligations, including KYC, AML/CFT, and RBF licensing requirements;
- maintain the security and integrity of our systems; and
- improve our website and communications.
4. Legal and regulatory basis
As a licensed financial institution, we are required to collect and retain certain information to comply with Fiji’s Financial Transactions Reporting Act, RBF guidelines, and applicable AML/CFT obligations. Where information is required for these purposes, we may be unable to provide services if it is not supplied.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share it with:
- Kontiki Stockbroking Ltd and affiliated entities, where account opening and KYC are completed on the client platform;
- service providers who support our operations (for example, secure hosting, email delivery, and identity-verification tools), under confidentiality obligations;
- regulators, auditors, and law-enforcement bodies where required or permitted by law.
6. Data retention
Enquiry records are kept only as long as needed to address your request. Records relating to client accounts and KYC/AML verification are retained for the minimum period required by Fiji law and RBF requirements — generally at least seven years after the end of the client relationship.
7. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and restricted handling of verification documents. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to protect your own account credentials.
8. Cookies and analytics
The website uses a small number of cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to understand site usage and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features.
9. Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or ask questions about how your data is handled. Some information must be retained to meet our regulatory obligations and cannot be deleted on request.
10. Contact us
For privacy enquiries, contact Kontiki Capital at broking@kontiki.com.fj or Level 2, Provident Plaza 1, 33 Ellery Street, PO Box 17904, Suva, Fiji Islands.
